Hi there!
I’m Ariel and I’m your guiding to navigating the confusions and frustrations of feeling stuck.
I am also a small business owner. I have been crafting and selling handmade earrings for six and a half years! Most recently I’ve added motherhood to my resume.
Now if you want the long story of how I came here...
Bagged a Bachelor in Management.
Graduated then worked in the banking industry for awhile...
Got certified in Fashion Design.
Finished the one year course then worked in a local uniform company - designing and manufacturing uniforms (in house) for hotels and restaurants.
Went back into the banking industry
Disillusioned with low salary and lack of career progression, I chose to return to what I'm familiar with.
Made some entrepreneurship attempts
Tried selling handmade pouches, and eventually quit my day job to start my baking business.
Chance upon polymer clay earrings
Baking business wasn't working out. While taking a break, I discovered this new medium and started my business the next day.
Change is the only constant
If you successfully read through my long history, one thing will stick out clearly to you - I pivot alot. When I do something, I give my all. But when it doesn’t seem to be working out, I stop and pivot. Even in my journey running Pig Pig Hooray, I pivot again and again.
I know how frustrating it feels when everything isn’t working and you keep getting stuck.
Is there something that I’m not doing right? Is it me or is it the economy? Is it time to call it quits? Or is there something else I can try? But I’ve tried so many things and nothing is working!
The voices in our head are sometimes so loud that it demoralises us and makes us fearful of trying anything. It could even lead us to staying still or quitting all together.
